Captain of the Lost Waves tackles January’s darkness on new track

For many, the month of January is far more than just a hangover from Christmas and New Year excess – it’s a time of year when loneliness is felt the most: these are the faceless souls who Captain of the Lost Waves wants to both reach out to and give a voice.

Whilst on one level giving the month a much-needed PR make-over, January is a song which recognises that many with mental health issues and who are trapped in vicious circles of seemingly impenetrable loneliness need a helping hand to get back on their feet and to know that there are those out there willing to listen. Released on what is now referred to as ‘Blue Monday’, 21^st January, Captain of the Lost Waves’ video is a stark reminder of those who desperately need to be heard by society.
